Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Miami Valley (BBBSGMV) is pleased to announce that University of Dayton football coach, Rick Chamberlin will serve as Honorary Chair of our 2012 Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser!
Coach Chamberlin, an All-American linebacker for the Flyers in 1978 and a member of the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame, has been on the Flyer coaching staff for 28 seasons and was named head coach in January 2008. In his four seasons as head coach, Chamberlin has continued the tradition of championship-caliber play, leading the Flyers to a share in the Pioneer Football League title in both 2009 and 2010 and a record of 34-11, the third best start for a Dayton head football coach.
Coach Chamberlin will join BBBSGMV for its largest annual fundraiser, Bowl for Kids’ Sake on March 24, 2012 at Poelking Woodman Lanes in Kettering. BFKS sessions are at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. Bowlers are asked to raise $65 or more to support BBBSGMV and will be given the chance to meet the coach and some of UD’s players. To find out more about BBBSGMV go to www.bbbsgmv.org.
